The following legislation governs workers' compensation and workplace health and safety in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

The WSCC Policy Manual provides information for workers and employers, as well as for other interested stakeholders, to assist with understanding WSCC’s administration of legislation. The WSCC Policy Manual is updated following amendments approved by the Governance Council.

The WSCC is responsible for administering the Workers Compensation Acts, Safety Acts, Explosives Use Acts and the Mine Health and Safety Acts. Governance Council policies provide guidance for the administration of the Acts.
