First Aid Training

In the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, workplace First Aid training is overseen by the WSCC.

To become approved and recognized, training providers must demonstrate that their programs, instructors, and delivery methods meet Canadian Standards Association (now operating as CSA Group) and regulatory requirements.

If you want to become an approved First Aid Training Provider, please contact the Chief Safety Officer.

Once accepted, your company becomes a WSCC approved First Aid training provider. This means:

• Employers can use your courses to meet legal requirements.
• Your certificates are accepted for workplace compliance.
• You will be recognized and listed on the WSCC website.
• You may be eligible to apply for WSCC funding through the OHS Funding Program.
