The WSCC’s Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Funding Program offers funding opportunities for providers of OHS services that improve workplace safety and support employers in complying with OHS legislation in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
The OHS Funding Program will advance the WSCC’s vision of reducing work-related accidents, injuries, and illnesses. The goals of the OHS Funding Program are to improve the availability and accessibility of OHS training or education initiatives in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, particularly in communities outside of Yellowknife and Iqaluit.

Who can apply?
The WSCC welcomes applications from both for-profit or non-profit organizations that provide occupational health and safety services, education or training to communities in the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Interested organizations should review the eligibility criteria in the Program Information Guide below.
How much funding is available?
The WSCC has committed to allocating 1% of employer assessment revenue to the OHS Funding Program. This amounts to approximately $1,000,000 each year, some of which may have been previously committed to multi-year initiatives.
Applicants can request between $5,000 - $250,000 per year, per initiative. Applicants can apply for more than one initiative in the year.
