Yellowknife, NT (May 7, 2019) – A video by Sir John Franklin high school students encouraging youth to be aware of their rights in the workplace won first place in the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health & Safety’s (CCOHS) #FocusOnSafety National Youth Video Contest.
This two-hour interactive e-course is designed to prepare young workers with a general understanding of workplace safety and their rights and responsibilities as workers.
This course does not replace site-specific training, but it does provide a solid foundation for a strong safety culture. It will be a launch pad for more detailed job training that will set up young workers for success in the future.
