Rowe’s Construction plead guilty to a charge under the Northwest Territories General Safety Regulations
Yellowknife, NT (April 14, 2015) – On April 1, representatives of 851791 N.W.T. LTD., operating as Rowe’s Construction, appeared in the Territorial Court of the Northwest Territories in Yellowknife and plead guilty to Section 9 of the General Safety Regulations. As an employer, Rowe’s failed to ensure the adequate instruction of each worker in the safe performance of their duties.

New Occupational Health and Safety Regulations Coming this Year
Yellowknife, NT (April 16, 2015) – The Worker’s Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) is excited to announce that the New Occupational Health and Safety Regulations will become law in the Northwest Territories on June 1, 2015. They will become law in Nunavut later in 2015, following changes to their Safety Act.
