Yellowknife, NT (April 20, 2022) – The Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) is seeking input as it works to improve access to workplace safety training and certification.

Under workplace safety legislation, all employers are responsible for providing the education and training workers need to do their job safely.

Safety and Health Week is celebrated annually across North America during the first week of May to highlight the importance of preventing workplace injury and illness.

WSCC’s topic of focus for 2024’s Safety and Health Week is Ergonomics.

In support of Safety and Health Week, the WSCC is offering focused inspections for ergonomics to interested employers throughout May!
