Today, the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) announces the release of a new and improved website.
Extensive engagement with Northerners identified five key areas of improvement, critical for the WSCC to provide stakeholders with a better website. Using their feedback, the new website now delivers on making information easier to find, providing a more powerful search function, making safety resources easier to locate, providing more visual elements to explain important information and processes, and offering improved compatibility for mobile devices.
Stakeholders can expect various e-business services to launch throughout the year, like online clearances, employer registration, and an interactive rate guide.
“We’re very proud of this new website and excited to see the impact it will have in improving our service and accessibility to stakeholders,” says Dave Grundy, President and CEO. “We listened to what our stakeholders had to say. An organization’s website is one of its’ strongest communication tools, and ours wasn’t meeting expectations. Now, it makes information easy and quick to find.”
Some highlights of the website are a friendlier design, Frequently Asked Questions sections, and two devoted sections to highlight the latest information and news. It also provides new top-level areas for Health & Safety and Return to Work.
The website is available in both English and French. Inuit language sites are in development.
