Judy Kainz: A new role with the WSCC

4th May 2015

The Workers’ Safety and Compensation Commission (WSCC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Judy Kainz in her new role at the WSCC as Director, Prevention Services.

Judy has over 30 years of experience working in occupational health and safety roles for a number of companies, including multinational manufacturing companies such as Kellogg’s and Parmalat, and Northern companies such as Qulliq Energy Corporation.

Judy joined the WSCC as the Chief Safety Officer in 2008. For the last eight years, she has worked with stakeholders to advance the Northern safety culture.

As Director, Prevention Services, Judy leads her team of safety professionals, located in three regional offices across the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Together they face the unique task of administering and enforcing safety legislation, while recognizing the technical, geographic, demographic and cultural realities of working in the North.

We look forward to continuing our relationship with Judy as she demonstrates her commitment to Occupational Health and Safety in the North.
