Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Regulatory Analyst

  • See the results of your work cumulate in changes to OHS regulations and ultimately impact occupational health & safety in the north. 
  • Make an impact on how OHS regulations, Codes of Practice and Directives are reviewed and developed in the NWT and Nunavut.
  • Provide leadership in the development of OHS regulations by bringing together input from the Chief Safety Officer and Chief Inspector of Mines, subject matter experts, legislative committees, and stakeholders.
  • Be a changemaker and develop and improve current processes for the development and review of OHS regulations, Codes of Practice and Directives.  
What you bring to the role:
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in policy or legislative development in an occupational health and safety regulated industry. 
  • The ability to professionally write and edit complex documents for internal and external support. 
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals of legislative and policy analysis and development.
